Over 30 years ago, Dr. Ronald Roth came to a crossroad in his career. Dr. Roth knew he was not serving his patients or his career with the standardized, "one-size-fi ts-all" treatment. That's when he went back to basics. Starting with the ideas of gnathology and full mouth reconstruction, Dr. Roth developed his philosophy on ideal tooth fi t and a functional arch form, with a focus on creating functional occlusion during mandibular movement. Learning through his successes, Dr. Roth, along with longtime student and friend Dr. Robert Williams, began sharing his revolutionary teachings with other orthodontists. The AEO continues Dr. Roth and Dr. William?s legacy by teaching this time-tested approach known as the Roth Philosophy.
